Sapa white marble has been tested, verified and certified for quality with a low water absorption index of 0.2%, high hardness surpassing the index applied to marble, equivalent to the hardness of Apatite and granite.

CHEMICAL PROPERTIES:
Sapa white marble is a metamorphic stone that forms when limestone undergoes the heat and pressure of metamorphism. Composed primarily of calcite minerals and often containing other minerals, such as clay, quartzite, pyrite, and graphite.
HARDNESS:
Marble scores around 4 on the Mohs hardness scale and is softer when compared to granite or quartzite. However, our Sapa white marble is surface treated and uses the best waterproof glue to ensure that the stone surface remains beautiful and durable over time.
COLOR:
Sapa white marble has a white background, fine small crystals, and large, sharp and strong blue-gray veins. The stone also has several other rare variations where yellow veins are found.
