CHEMICAL PROPERTIES:

Blue Gray Jupiter quartzite is a metamorphic stone from quartzite. The long process of compressing and heating sand leads to the creation of quartzite which is extremely dense and durable.

HARDNESS:

The Mohs hardness scale classifies quartzite at the 7th mark, higher than granite with a hardness between 6-6.5. To further illustrate, a kitchen knife and glass measure 5 on Mohs hardness scale. Therefore, scratches should not be an issue when using quartzite in your home, even in areas with high traffic and high-use spaces, such as kitchens. Blue Gray Jupiter quartzite is relatively non-porous so it does not discolor or corrode by acid.

COLOR:
